South China tiger is a kind of unique tiger in China. It is also believed to be the ancestor of all kinds of tigers around the world. But now it is one of species on the brink of extinction of China. The Save China’s Tiger Charity was founded and in 2002, State Administration of Forestry decided to send South China tigers born in Chinese zoos to South Africa under the administration of SCT. After rewild and breed training, tigers will be sent back to China reservation parks. In 10 years, more than 10 tigers are sent to South Africa. Tigers were trained to manage to live and breed in the wild circumstances. Meanwhile, China administrators have been looking for adapting wild circumstance for these tigers. In 2013, the Chinese government starts the China South Tiger Rewild and Breed Project in Meihua Mountain of Fujian province. Wild tigers will be sent back from South Africa to China.
